Where It All Began

As part of our contribution to insuring a bright future for new sholars and leaders, we offer scholarships to the active members of Phi Theta Kappa.
We have also initiated a means of providing financial assistance to enable and encourage members to attend Regional conferences/conventions when they are facing financial challenges.

Missouri Leaders of Promise Scholarship
The purpose of the Missouri Leaders of Promise Scholarship was established in 2002 to provide Phi Theta Kappa members with financial resources to help defray educational expenses while enrolled in a two-year college and to develop leadership potential by engaging students in Society programs.
Three Missouri Leaders of Promise scholarship recipients will receive a $400 cash stipend. The award will be disbursed in two equal payments of $200 per semester. The first payment will be made by 1 August 2009. The second stipend will be paid once the student provides a signed Participation Requirement Form verifying participation in at least five chapter activities during the previous semester, enrollment in a minimum of six semester credit hours for the 2008-2009 school year, and maintenance of at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA.
Students

These scholarships are given three times a year at each of the regional convention. The names of two chapters in attendance are drawn randomly during the last session of the convention and those chapters each receive a check for $100. This scholarship can be used to help defray the cost of sending members to the convention or as the chapter sees fit. Remember, you must send at least one member of your chapter to the convention to be eligible to receive this scholarship.
MAA Provision for Financial Assistance
